OUR DAIRY

From award-winning barista milk to traditional glass bottles, butter, cream and yoghurt, every product is crafted with the same commitment to flavour, quality and authenticity.

More than dairy

At The Widcombe Estate, exceptional dairy begins with exceptional farming. As a family-run farm spanning 27 generations, we remain committed to producing dairy with care, integrity and respect for the land.

Our award-winning Barista Milk is gently pasteurised and left unhomogenised, allowing the cream to rise naturally and preserving the rich flavour, texture and character that make it truly distinctive.

The result is premium dairy trusted by cafés, kitchens and hospitality partners across the UK.

A Way Of Life

Our home is North Widcombe Farm, the landscape that shapes both our dairy and our way of life. As a working family estate, it has been guided by generations of farming and stewardship for over 500 years.

Today, we continue that tradition by producing and supplying premium dairy to cafés, restaurants, hospitality partners and wholesalers, while remaining rooted in the values that have shaped the estate for centuries. The countryside around us continues to influence everything we do, from the way we care for our herd to the standards we hold ourselves to every day.

Why Unhomogenised?

01 What happens during homogenisation? +
Most milk found on supermarket shelves is homogenised. During this process, the cream is broken down into tiny particles and permanently dispersed throughout the milk to create a uniform appearance.
02 Why do we leave the cream intact? +
We choose not to homogenise. By leaving the cream intact, it naturally rises to the top of the bottle just as it traditionally would, creating the rich layer of cream that is characteristic of unhomogenised milk.
03 What does this mean for the milk? +
This gentle approach preserves the texture, flavour and natural character of the milk, resulting in a fuller mouthfeel and a product that remains closer to its original state.
Simply shake before pouring.
Why Unhomogenised
THE HEART OF OUR DAIRY

It all starts
with our herd

At The Widcombe Estate, our herd is at the centre of everything we do. The quality of our dairy begins with the cows themselves — their wellbeing, their environment and the land they graze.

We believe exceptional dairy starts long before it reaches the bottle. By caring for our herd and working with the seasons, we allow the natural character of our milk to shine through.

That milk becomes the foundation for everything we produce, from our unhomogenised milk and award-winning Barista Milk to our cream, butter and yoghurt. Every product carries the character of the farm and the care that goes into producing it.
